Lubbock Primary Care is excited to introduce our newest addition to our provider team, Dr. Amanda Backlund. With 11 years of experience in family medicine, Dr. Backlund brings a wealth of knowledge and expertise to our clinic, and we're so excited to have her with us!
Dr. Backlund grew up in Germany and attended Angelo State University in San Angelo, Texas, where she graduated Magna Cum Laude with her biology degree. She moved to Lubbock shortly after to attend medical school at Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center and graduated in 2009 with her MD.
Dr. Backlund has had a passion for helping others for as long as she can remember, telling her mother at age 5 that she wanted to be a doctor. Her dreams never wavered, and now, she has the opportunity to help her patients thrive every day. Dr. Backlund is committed to providing compassionate, patient-centered care to her patients and is dedicated to developing personalized treatment plans tailored to each patient's individual needs and preferences.
As a family medicine doctor, Dr. Backlund can provide a wide variety of primary care services to patients of all ages, including:

- Diagnosis and treatment of acute and chronic illnesses
